Latest Fortune Magazine
The latest issue of Fortune celebrates their 75th anniversary, and is definately worth picking up. It is probably the single most useful magazine I’ve come across. (It’s the one with Warren Buffet on the cover)
There are several great articles:
- Best advice ever – Gets business leaders to share the best advice they ever received. Included in the article are people like Peter Drucker, Ann Fudge, and Howard Schultz. This is an outstanding article, and if they did a book based on this premise, it could very well be the greatest book ever.
- Top 75 business books ever - A categorized list compiled by the staff at fortune. I’ve read only 3 or 4 of the books included on the list, so I’ve got plenty of reading left before I can call myself a pundit. Each book is summarized – and not all books are business books.
- Hot Careers for the next ten years - This article wasn’t great, but it was funny. The first paragraph says that
IT will be back in a big way. Anything relating to health care will boom. And accounting or financial-management skills will be mighty good to have.
The reason I find this funny is that I’m a financial management consultant working in the healthcare industry for a technology consulting firm – Apparantly I’ve got it made.
That’s it for today. – Happy easter everyone!
